ATAC Arabia formed
ATAC are pleased to announce the appointment of Dave Johnson to head up a new office based in Bahrain. Dave joins ATAC from ABB Process Analytics and brings extensive process analyser knowledge and experience coupled with years of experience of working in the Middle East. The new venture will increase the presence of ATAC in the region and will enable ATAC to provide quicker service to our customers and distributors.

ATAC awarded a major refinery analyser revamp project

Worley Parsons-Petrocon Arabia Ltd. has awarded a $3 million contract to Analytical Technology & Control Limited (ATAC) for their work at Saudi Aramco Shell Refinery Company (SASREF), to replace physical property analysers and systems at their Al-Jubail complex in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The project includes the supply of new sample conditioning systems and the on-site refurbishment of some existing systems. Further scope includes the replacement of some old process physical property analysers with new units. In some cases the old units have been working trouble free for 20 years. ATAC are not only supplying the hardware, but also the complete site and project management, from system design through to installation, commissioning and start up.

How old are your process analysers?
ATAC have been contacted by a major refinery company to look at replacing a 44 year old viscometer. The Hallikainen viscometer has provided over four decades of reliable service, which is a testament to the design of the instrument. Today the ATAC Hallikainen range of products are still available. Built to the latest standards, the analysers have not lost their reliability and will provide accurate process control data for the next four decades.

ATAC Expansion.
ATAC are expanding!! ATAC have recently doubled the office space in the Market Lavington facility. The expansion will see the Sales Office move from Surrey and an expansion of the Engineering and R&D departments.

New Components added to Sysco Range
The ATAC Sysco component range has been enhanced. ATAC now sell a high pressure low flow pump. This greatly increases our portfolio of systems components.  
May 2007  
Working partnership with Hobré Instruments
ATAC and Hobré have agreed to distribute each others analyser range. ATAC will distribute the Hobre WIM (Wobbe Index Monitor) to the refinery and petrochemical sector in the UK and Ireland. Hobre Instruments based in Purmerend, Netherlands will distribute the ATAC range of physical property analysers in Benelux, Germany and Scandinavia.  
April 2007  
ATAC have continued to develop the applications on the D86 Continuous Distillation analysers. Final product Diesel applications with a final boiling point of 400 deg C can now be monitored.
